Submersible LED lamp for installation in boat drain plugs

LED light made of AISI 316L marine-grade stainless steel, with IP68 protection, to be installed submerged in the hulls of boats, yachts, and recreational vessels. The LED light installs directly into existing drainage holes, so there is no need to drill the hull. The connection is easily made by screwing the waterproof housing with a diameter of Ø36mm against the pre-existing holes.

It features a CREE LED plate with 9 chips of 3W, for a total consumption of 27W. The connection is made directly to the circuit of the boat and accepts a voltage range of 9 to 32V (the lamp includes the driver). This lamp is not suitable for 230V installations; in such cases, an external power supply will be required.

Installation and mounting of the submerged LED lamp for drain plugs

The underwater LED light for drain plugs needs to be constantly submerged during its operation. Operating out of water or without external cooling mechanisms can lead to malfunctions. For installation, simply clean the existing drain plugs on the boat and screw the lamp with the waterproof connector on the back. In any case, we recommend consulting your boat owner for advice and having a professional oversee the work.

Applications of recessed LED lights in drainage plugs

The LED lights are designed to be recessed into the existing half-inch drainage holes in the hull of the vessel. They can also be used in pools, ponds, hot tubs, and other water features as long as the lamp is completely submerged. Remember to protect the joints with watertight sealing in case you drill a hole specifically for the lamp.
